Route 66 Rescue Inc
Mission Statement: We rescue in memory of companion animals who have died alone in a shelter, on the streets, or in pain without a loving family to mourn the loss. Our mission is to change the world for as many dogs as we can and to place discarded, unloved, homeless canines in loving forever homes. If you would like more information or would like an adoption application, please see the link at the left for adoption information.
If you are looking for a family member and don't find him/her on our website, request an adoption application and tell us what you are looking for. We work with many rescues and shelters who may have your dog waiting for you. The requirements will be the same. We only adopt to inside homes and dogs may not be allowed to roam. All will be spay/neutered, vaccinated, heart worm tested, and references and a home visit may be required.
Route 66 Rescue Inc. is dedicated to saving dogs in SW MO who would otherwise die on the streets or in high-kill shelters. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter to have a safe, happy place for these dogs to stay until their forever families adopt them. It will be a sanctuary for life, for dogs who are not adopted.

Jasmine - a story of abandonment in the wild
Sweet Jasmine is a very special girl. Her mother raised her and her brother in the wild, and all three were nearly starved when they were rescued. It has taken time for Jasmine to learn to trust humans after the abuse she endured for her first five months. When they came out looking for food, landowners chased the family away. One person ran some of the puppies down in the road, and Jasmine and her brother were lucky to escape alive. No one would give food to this mom and her babies.
