The Story of Jasmine - from the wild to foster care
Now needs a loving home.....
Jasmine
Rescued from the wild as a puppy
Sweet Jasmine is a very special girl. Her mother raised her and her brother in the wild, and all three were nearly starved when they were rescued. It has taken time for Jasmine to learn to trust humans after the abuse she endured for her first five months. When they came out looking for food, landowners chased the family away. One person ran some of the puppies down in the road, and Jasmine and her brother were lucky to escape alive. No one would give food to this mom and her babies.
The pups were half grown when rescue became involved. Jasmine was the last of the group to be caught. She was so wary that even enticement with food did not bring her within reach. It was only when she darted into a crate after treats, that she was trapped, and her new life began.
Jasmine has been living with a rescue person who has experience with dogs of all sorts from all kinds of situations. When Jazz went to this rescuer's house, she did not trust people, and although her gentle nature yearned for human contact, she only tolerated love and attention from the few people she knew. After months of love and gentle training, Jasmine is still shy and does not know much about men, but she is much more open now, and is ready for her forever home. She needs a quiet family that can spend time with her to continue her progression into the real Jasmine.
